My Story

I come to you with a tale of unwavering strength and resilience. My name is Eloise, a 5-year-old, 62-pound Pit Bull mix and just like the spirited character from the book, I've discovered that life isn't all shadows and darkness. I've braved the stormy seas of neglect and abuse, but now I'm finding solace in the warm embrace of a loving foster home. I am house, crate and leash trained making me the best girl! I'm good with dogs and older kids only, since I might be a little too rough for little ones. The jury's still out on my opinion of cats. I could thrive in an apartment, a cozy home, or even the wide-open road of a semi-truck. As laid-back as a Sunday morning, I'm slowly learning to trust again, one pawstep at a time. My journey isn't over; it's just beginning. I need a family who will be my guiding light, who will offer patience and love as I heal from my past. Like Eloise, I believe in the power of love to transform lives. ***I am currently enrolled in the Pups for Parole training program. Upon graduation, I will have all the basic training necessary to make a great companion. I will need a family willing to continue my training, I sure don't want to forget all that I learned!*** My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form!
