Eloise, the dainty lil’ 45lb doggo ‘til she realizes she is in fact a maligator, ha! ??
Eloise was saved from a high kill shelter in late July, and after a week is starting to come out of her shy little shell! She has from day one warmed up quickly to people and resident dogs in her foster home, though still gaining confidence in approaching new environments.
We unfortunately do not know her background, but believes she’s about 1-1.5yo and will be spayed August 9th. She is high energy and would make a Fantastic running buddy and/or hiking partner, but has kept her fantastic cuddly off-switch through her decompression. She’s a 100% heart-melter the way she cuddles into you for nap times!
Eloise is just starting to learn the joys of toys/ballos, but is still getting the hang of them. She is food motivated, but more so by human food than dog food, ha! She is wonderfully crate trained without hiccup from the start, and is catching on quickly to basic commands such as sit, down, off, and stay.
While she has an initial dainty personality about her, once comfortable her herding instincts do come out in play with other dogs. So homes with littler kiddos must be aware and prepared that she IS still a maligator despite her dainty sweetness. However…. She absolutely Loves the resident cat and is ever so gentle with her! I know, a cuddly maligator that’s people, dog, AND cat friendly fresh out of the shelter?!?! She truly is a one of a kind, so don’t miss the opportunity to add her to your pack and apply to adopt her today!
