My Story

Since the name "Fantastic Five" was already taken, I guess we’ll be the "Five Musketeers". You know, "One for all and all for one". Yes, we do realize that there were originally only three musketeers, but it’s 2008 now and there are "Five". We all came from an over crowded, caged, unsocialized living situation and hope that the end of 2008 and 2009 prove to be much better. Since we have entered the CAAWS program, the food supply has been great, we don’t have to fight to get our share. Also, the sleeping quarters aren’t cramped at all, and the humans here all seem to want to hold, cuddle and kiss us, which we have never gotten. We think we’ve died and gone to Chihuahua heaven. I’m Elmo, and speaking of fighting for food, that is what happened to my eye. I thought I deserved that little morsel that was thrown into my cramped cage, and another Chi thought the same thing. Don’t worry though my other eye works just fine. I was born approximately 6/03, am up to date on shots, neutered and tested positive for heartworms. This didn’t surprise me at all since I knew I was never given that prevention that pups are supposed to get on a monthly basis. Anyway, if you want to adopt me now and I can go through treatment at my new forever home, CAAWS is throwing in an extra Christmas present and paying for my treatment. As if I wasn’t present enough.
