Ellis

Meet Ellis! She's a spunky little gal. Best guess is she will top out around 25-30 pounds, but being "Mystery Breed" anything is possible. Her gorgeous blond short coat means she's pretty low maintenance as far as grooming goes. Ellis is a playful pup always wanting to see what her people will do next. She's not a velcro dog, she is very happy to nap on a quiet couch by herself, but she does love her people a lot. We think the best home for Ellis will be with active adults possibly with another older dog who is patient enough to show Ellis good dog manners. She does have some successful experience with a cat. This pup is a quick learner! She will thrive with owners who will keep her learning and busy with tricks and enrichment experiences. Ellis is getting used to being in her crate at night and when left alone. She complains for a little bit, but will settle. She does keep her crate clean, rarely having accidents while crated. House training is coming along, but it is still a work in progress. She loves treats and her meals and is moderately food-motivated. Ellis is working on her confidence. She can be slow to warm to new people. Her favorite pastime is cuddling on the couch in her person's lap. She's learning not to be pushy with this and waiting to be invited. She is a light to moderate barker, not overly interested in what is happening outside but vocal when someone comes in or out.
