We named her after the lady who brought her to us a few years ago in a horrid state and asked us to euthanize her. Upon presentation she had recently whelped a litter and was very thin, her hair coat was mostly gone due to flea infestation, and she had TVT, and erlichiosis. We felt that the dog could be completely cured and felt sympathy for her and therefore brought her into the clinic for therapy. Now completely cured and healthy she unfortunately spends most of her time in a cage (I think she is sick of the cage, and that is why she wants to climb so much). This dog (like many of the strays that survive puppy hood in Athens Greece) is EXTREMELY intelligent, she opens doors, is an acrobatic climber, etc. Therefore having saved Elliot from certain death upon several occasions I feel an obligation to see that she gets the good home that she deserves. She is a sweet animal and is very friendly to people and other dogs. She hates cats. Because she was a young adult when we found her we are unsure of her age. I would estimate from 2-4 years (possibly 5). She has been spayed and all the dogs in the clinic are regularly tested for leishmaniasis but I will perform the test again, for your benefit as we discussed on the telephone.
