* Ellie is eligible for the Foster-to-Adopt Program * My name is Ellie, it's a pleasure to meet you! I'm a gorgeous 6 year old 79 pound gal with some big 'ole ears. I was initially brought to the Humane Society after I was found wandering around as a stray. I was than adopted out for a few weeks but was returned as the home wasn't the right fit for me. Out of no fault of my own, I just would love a home where my people are home more often than not. I'm what you call a "velcro dog". I can't help that I adore people, I even LOVE children!! Let me tell you about my personality- I'm friendly, well-behaved, easy going, energetic, and affectionate. A few activities that I enjoy are car rides, getting all the attention, going out on walks, and laying on cool floors. I'm quite picky about my canine friends and would prefer a home without one- but if you do have another dog, schedule a time to bring them up so we can meet and see if we're compatible. You can skip the puppy stage with me as I'm housetrained and I walk well on the leash. Oh, I even know a handful of commands like, "Sit, lay down, stay, and night night." I'm spayed, current on my vaccinations, and microchipped. I unfortunately, tested positive for heartworms. But please don't let that stop you from taking me home with you.. my heartworm treatment is covered through my adoption!
