My Story

Name: Elle Age: Estimated 4 years old Sex: Spayed Female Weight: 15.4 lbs (7 kg) Energy Level: High (Level 8) Photos and videos: [https://photos.app.goo.gl/DJ9eiwXMcih395hu5] Foster's Instagram account: [https://www.instagram.com/elle_tbt?igsh=cDQ5cWoyanpwd3J3] Rescue Story: Elle was found wearing clothes when she was taken into a municipal shelter. Despite her rough start, she is ready to find her forever home. She is currently fostered in South Korea and will fly to JFK once she finds a suitable family. The approved applicant will have a two-week trial period to ensure the commitment and match. Elle’s Charming Traits: Elle is a loving and playful dog who adores human interaction. When her foster mom sits down, Elle loves to place her paws on her lap and wags her tail excitedly, showering her with kisses. She also enjoys cuddling up while watching TV and following her foster mom around the house, eager to be part of every activity. Elle is highly intelligent and responsive to training. She quickly learns and respects boundaries. For instance, when told to avoid a high bed for safety, she immediately understood and started waiting at the door. She is very perceptive and picks up on her caregiver’s intentions quickly. Elle has a great appetite and is not picky about food. She enthusiastically finishes her meals and has never been fussy about her diet. Socialization: With Women: Warms up quickly and initially prefers their company. With Men: It takes about three weeks to feel comfortable but eventually warms up and forms strong bonds. With Children: Generally indifferent; cautious but polite if children approach gently. With Large Dogs: Scared and prefers to keep her distance. With Small Dogs: More comfortable; enjoys polite interactions and can play once familiar. With Cats and Other Animals: Shows curiosity but is generally indifferent to cats and birds. May follow pigeons out of curiosity. Home Life: Alone Time: Can be left alone for up to 6 hours daily and occasionally up to 11 hours without issues. She usually sleeps during this time. Separation Anxiety & Destructive Behavior: No signs of separation anxiety or destructive behavior. Interested in items on the floor or table but does not chew or destroy them. Car Rides: Does not get car sick if not in a travel crate. Prefers lying on a blanket or seat for longer journeys. Leash Skills: Enthusiastic on walks and tends to pull. Improving with a martingale harness. Very curious and needs supervision to avoid picking up items from the ground. Crate Training: In progress. Understands the command “house” and uses the crate as a safe space. Bathing & Dental Hygiene: She tolerates baths and grooming well, although she doesn’t enjoy teeth brushing. Training & Housebreaking: Needs regular potty breaks in familiar areas to ensure success. Vocalization: Rarely barks, except when very excited during play or if she wants attention. Health: Allergies: Suspected allergies to chicken and pork cause itching. No reaction to trout, salmon, watermelon, duck, or beef. Salmon and tuna-based food is being fed now. Favorite Treats: Loves all treats but needs allergen-free options. Enjoys long-lasting chews like salmon sticks. Favorite Toys: Prefers nose work toys over regular toys. Ideal Home: Elle would thrive in an active household where she can receive lots of attention and mental stimulation. She bonds deeply with her caregivers and prefers homes where she can be the center of attention. Due to her high energy, she needs a family to keep up with her activity levels. Families with young children should be cautious as she can be a bit jumpy. Daily Routine: Morning: Wakes up around 6 AM for a 20-minute walk, followed by breakfast at 7 AM. Daytime: Alone from 8 AM to 2 PM, mostly sleeping. Afternoon: Short potty break and snack around 2 PM. Evening: Dinner around 7 PM, followed by a long walk. Night: Playtime and another short walk if needed before bed around midnight. Adoption Information: Elle is an intelligent, loving dog who will bring joy and energy to her forever home. She loves being around her humans and is always eager to give kisses and snuggle. Elle is smart and learns quickly, making her a joy to train. Elle’s favorite part of the day is when she gets to spend time with her family, whether going for a walk or just lounging on the couch. We’re confident that she will make her forever family very happy.”
