< br> "Hi there everyone! My name is Eli. I was on a chain, no collar, with the chain padlocked around my neck--but no more chains for me, ever again!! I got a bath... it was not much fun, but it made me feel so good afterward. After my bath, the nice lady gave me GOOD food and clean water. It has been below freezing here, and I had not had water for at least three days. My five-gallon bucket that my ex-owner filled up weekly had frozen. Getting water was great, I was so thirsty. I am warm and comfy for the first time ever. I went to the vet and got a clean bill of health. NO HEARTWORMS!! YEAH!! I have been neutered, and I am unbelievably healthy. I had never been to a vet before. Now I am just going to wait...hoping the lady finds me a good place to live. I just want a family. I am a nice boy. If you will just pet me, I will be your buddy forever. I like being petted. I didn't know that there were NICE humans whose hands wouldn't hurt when they touch my doggy body. Will you help me find a foster or forever home???"

Eli is 16 months to 2 years old, a male Australian shepherd/Rottweiler mix; he weighs 45 pounds and is neutered. He has no health issues and is absolutely adorable. All he wants is attention. He had the choice of attention or food...he chose attention. WILL YOU HELP ELI??? You can e-mail [email protected] or call Casey at (423)742-0379. We are located in Johnson City, TN (northeast TN, about 1 hour and 45 minutes east of Knoxville, 30 minutes from the Bristol Raceway, 2 hours from Asheville, NC). Eli needs a forever home; please help him.
