My Story

Cyd is a wonderful, gentle, energetic and trusting dog. We're guessing he's a Jindo mix. My friend, John, saw Cyd running around Wilshire and Western and he got out of his car and chased after him. Cyd ran to a nearby park where he finally stopped running and sat there to wait for his owner. When John caught up with Cyd, he was told by a woman at the park that she had seen a man kick Cyd out of the car and drive off. Still, Cyd had hope that the man would come back for him.
He has scars on his right ear, elbow, hip and back right leg. The doctor said he does not have mange or any other parasites, so the scars are simply from being left outside to sleep on concrete. Cyd is also very thin, but he's eating well now and gaining weight. He knows how to "shake," so someone at some point loved him enough to teach him a trick. Sadly, however, he somehow ended up with a man who didn't want him and carelessly discarded him like a bag of trash.
In spite of his undeserved treatment, Cyd still loves and trusts people. He's great with kids - even very small kids who don't yet know how to be gentle with an animal. He's potty trained, great on a leash, gets along with every dog we've seen him with and he's only about two years old. Oh - one thing I have to warn you about though. He's learned the luxury of a large human bed and he wants to be on it ALL THE TIME! You must be willing to let him sleep on your bed. He deserves it after sleeping on cement for so long.
