My Story
Meet Einstein, Your Future Best Friend! Einstein is a charming 4-year-old Terrier mix with a heart as big as his name suggests! At just 13 pounds, this sweet and smart guy is searching for his forever home. Rescued from a rural area where he was left behind, Einstein’s journey to safety was met with joy and relief, and now he's ready to start a new chapter with a loving family.
In excellent health, Einstein is house and crate trained, up-to-date on vaccines, neutered, and heartworm negative. He’s a true cuddle bug who loves snuggling on the couch or curling up in bed close to his humans. His gentle and affectionate nature makes him the ideal companion for cozy nights in.
Einstein is social and enjoys playtime with other dogs, but he would do best in a home without cats and young children. One of his delightful quirks is his eagerness to roll over—he often shows off this trick in response to the “sit” command!
Einstein needs a family that will be patient and understanding as he adjusts to his new home. He will appreciate a gentle approach—please let him settle in at his own pace without forcing physical interaction or carrying him before he’s ready. With a bit of time and space, he’ll warm up quickly, often within a day or two.
If you're ready to offer a loving home to this loyal and affectionate pup, Einstein is eager to meet you and become a cherished member of your family. Your perfect cuddle companion is just a step away!

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt
**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.
