This dog's adoption fee is $450. If you are still interested, please read more below. Edgar (Eddie) is a big, friendly, goofball of a dog who has never met a stranger. Picked up as a stray in Texas, this handsome and healthy boy is learning his manners and will need some training to unleash his full potential. He is eager to learn and as sweet as they come, preferring to be in the same room as his human, as close as canine-ly possible. There is not a mean bone in this boy's body. He is a bit nervous outside the yard because so much is new to him, so his adopter will need to be firm and patient and give Eddie lots of love and some time to come into his own. While he is overly interested in his foster's cats right now, with time, he will befriend them too. Eddie would likely do best in a house with a fenced yard and another dog who can play with him and teach him how to dog. He is very friendly with kids but might do best with older ones because of his size and energy. Eddie walks on a leash without pulling, but straight lines have so far eluded him... his walking pattern more closely resembles the flight of the bumblebee :). He resists the crate at first but is fine once he's in there with a bully stick or chew toy.
