Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families. Eden is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Eden is part of a group of dogs that are currently recovering from extremely poor living conditions. The conditions that we are clearing include sarcoptic mange, skin infections from dirty conditions and lack of grooming, intestinal parasites, and respiratory infections. Every dog has at least one of these conditions; some have multiple. Full records will go with every dog. Weight: 11 lbs - Eden is overweight and needs to lose about 2 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $399 Fence needed? No, but she would enjoy one What kind of home would be best for me? Eden has never experienced a loving human hand and she needs an adopter who can provide her with all the love and care she has never received. Her adopter must have an inexhaustible amount of time, patience, and love that will allow Eden to emerge from the shell she is currently in to become a dog and your beloved pet. We do our best here to love on her, but she is ready for her own human(s). Eden is young and adaptable and will easily fit into your apartment or house whether you are single, a couple, or a family. Eden would benefit from a home with another dog to learn from, gain confidence from, and play with. Eden gets along well with small dogs and she actually tries to rule the roost when with them. If your cat will be OK with Eden then she will be OK with your cat. She doesn't pay much attention to the cats here. What is my personality like? Say hi to Eden, a one-year-old toy poodle seeking her first forever home after being released from a breeder. Eden has a distinctive brown spot around her left eye that makes her stand out in a crowd. This little girl is experiencing nearly everything life has to offer for the first time and it's scary for her. She is adjusting to her new home with us but is still fearful of many things. Everything is new for Eden. She doesn't know much about leashes, but will walk on one on occasion. She needs to learn her basic commands like come, down, sit, stay and the like. Her adopter needs to be kind, patient, and loving during training, and of course have plenty of treats on hand as well. This gentle approach to training Eden will help her bond with her new family. Eden is young. The gift of time, patience, and love goes a long way in shaping a dog's demeanor, and Eden has so much potential. If you feel like you can provide all this wonderful little girl needs, Eden is more than ready to embark on the road to her forever home. How do I act when I first meet new people? Eden is still timid, shy, and scared when first meeting people. She needs time to warm up to you. She will not approach you, but she does enjoy being held or placed in your lap for pets and kisses. Other tips and tidbits: Based on her overall health and condition, Eden is estimated at a year old by our veterinary partner. We celebrate her birthday 4/19/2023. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet.
