Eddie

EDDIE needs extra-special TLC; he has a very low adoption price but only for the perfect person who reads through his information carefully. The adopter must pass the test to show you will love him as much as I do (I am Exec Director of our rescue so these cases are very important to me...:) ) Eddie is a sweet, senior Cairn Terrier-Schnauzer mix who has been shaved for the summer...but even in his short time with us his curls are coming back in! Apparently his breeds are excellent for people with allergies; he does not shed and his fur stays very neat and clean. Eddie is 9-10 years old and 32 pounds. His coat colors are GORGEOUS, a mix of blues and greys with wheat and caramels swirls. He has clear, shiny brown eyes. Eddie's elderly owner became too ill to live alone; she had to move into a home that would not allow pets. However, Eddie had lived with other dogs and with cats and had many visiting children. Eddie is house-broken, gentle, affectionate and wants to know where his person is all the time. He is NOT yappy at all and is extremely calm. We have recently discovered that Eddie is Heartworm positive so he is scheduled for treatment. The vet assures us Eddie will be fine once his treatment is over. He has several loving years left but would do best in a mature household. He would be fine in a house or a small apartment - it doesn't matter to Eddie! Eddie wants his person to be around, so we are hoping to find him a place where someone works from home or is retired. Eddie has excellent manners and wants nothing more than to be by your side.
