My Story

The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application. Phone interviews do not take place til after an approved application is on file and we have a possible match for your home My name is Dwindy. I am 3 years old and weigh 33 pounds. I need a new home because I am a breeder release. I am being fostered in Longmont, CO. I’m a cutie with ears that have a mind of their own. I get excited to see other dogs but I am still learning to be confident with people. My foster mom says I am slowly getting better as the days pass. I’d do best in a house without small children. And since I really want to get this human family thing down, it would be great to have someone home a lot if not all the time. This is going to help me overcome my fears. Bonus would be if you’re familiar with puppy mill survivors, like me! I know with time, I will thrive and love but it’s going to take me time to adjust to this new lifestyle. Please be patient with me! I am worth the time, love and patience as I know I’ll make a great pet and my new family happy! I love keeping to myself I would rather not be surprised, I get scared I need time to learn that not all humans are bad Here's a little more about me: Housetrained? Working on it Leash-trained? Adoption fee? $450 The adoption process starts with an Online Adoption Application you can find at ''https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption. MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing. MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive. If you are Interested in Adoption please complete our online adoption application at 'https://www.adoptaboston.com/adoption-application. Petfinder's form is NOT our application. We will respond back to you within 72 hours of receiving your application. Interested in Donating visit https://www.adoptaboston.com/donate
