My Story

Looking for a very special foster or adopter! This sweet young girl is Dutchess! She is only about 8 months old seems mostly house trained, crate trained but will cry at first. She was unfortunately very close to being put down at a high kill shelter due to a *broken leg* well turns out she has no breaks, which is good and bad news. She has a Brachial plexus injury which is a nerve issue from being over stretched some how (pulled hard by leg, hanging or swung etc.). She is undergoing at home physical therapy and a toe corrector boot (and socks when not in toe corrector to keep sores at bay) she will also get cold laser therapy 1-3 times a week and then weekly after initial treatments. She would love a home to continue to recover and hopefully regain use of her leg. It will be a 2-4 month likely foster. Rescue is covering all her vet bills and therapy, she will be spayed as well once we know more how her leg is healing. Soft Paws Rescue-Oregon You can find my form "Foster Application and Agreement" at: https://form.jotform.com/240931055989163 If interested please follow these steps: 1. fill out and submit an application online at: https://form.jotform.com/240361716308149 2. Please send in home and yard photos for approval. *please note: We like to do 2 week Foster to Adopts on adult dogs,so the dogs don't have to move around as much and they can bond and make sure they fit into your home before completion of adoption.* Dogs adoption fee's will include vet visit/exam, spay/neuter, microchip, blood work up/dental if vet says it is needed, dewormed, up to date on shots (DHPP and Rabies, Bordetella can be done if requested we don't do it normally as we don't have the dogs in boarding, dog parks or high risk locations), Current on 1 dose of flea treatment in case they brought any with them from CA. If anything isn't mentioned please ask. Adoption fees vary $300-$500 depending on the dog and medical care needed/required. Adoption fee for each dog will be noted in write up.
