Hi! My name is Dutch and I have lived in a shelter environment for 7 long years. Though I love my caretakers, don't you think it is time I found my own home?
Why has it taken so long? I think people might be scared of my breed- Dutch Shepherd. We are known for being very active, however, I am 9 years old and although I once was super energetic - not any more. Those days are long gone. No jumping fences. No going on the treadmill. That doesn't mean I wouldn't like to play fetch or romp around the yard but I am not the young boy I used to be.
I am super smart and know basic commands plus I am house and crate trained. I would prefer to be your only pet but a smart, female dog my size could work fine. Just remember I am not a fan of cats or kids, but I truly LOVE people. I am really just a big baby who will melt in your arms.
