Dumpling

hi Dumpling! This pretty girl is a 7 1/2 year old bulldog / beagle mix. She was finally surrendered to our care from a Lancaster breeding farm as she got too old to continue to breed. She is 62 lbs. Dumpling came to us very shy but that is all behind her now! She has turned into the best, sweetest, low key guest at the rescue. She listens well, loves her volunteers, walks on a leash and is just a lovely dog. She likes to spend her day close to us, chewing on a benebone or another long lasting chew. We had no issues handling her and she's been overall a very good girl. This is where the tougher part is: some time back, while at the puppy mill, a little puppy wondered into her pen, and sadly, she killed it. We do not know if it was resource guarding induced, stress and anxiety induced or all the factors. She has otherwise been doing really good with other dogs both on the farm she came from and here at the rescue. She has also lived with and been around kids. We believe Dumpling deserves a chance at a happy ending and a life where she will be loved and treated like a pet. We hope that you will consider giving her a chance, too. She would need to meet any resident dogs. For now, she will not placed with small critters like bunnies / guinea pigs etc. She will come spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and 4dx tested.
