Duke - Lonely Hearts Club

Duke is a 5 year old, neutered male Husky mix. He is hoping to find his forever home very soon! Duke was found as a stray alongside another dog. Unfortunately, this means we don't know much about his background. He is very sweet to people, and warms up very quickly. While we do know that he can get along with select dogs, we also know that he is a very picky boy about his canine friends. We are insisting on a meet and greet with potential doggie siblings and are recommending that any hopeful adopters have resident dogs that are very submissive, as this guy is NOT going to pair well with a dominant or reactive personality. We also have not seen how he would do around cats or children, so we recommend meet and greets with them, as well. Duke does seem to have some training. He will respond to basic commands, and does a very good job at keeping his kennel clean. Keep in mind, though, that going to a new home is a big adjustment for any dog, and Duke will need some grace as he learns how to fit in with his new family. And just because he does well in his kennel does not necessarily mean that he would be spot on when given the space of an entire house. Again, because we have no history on this fella, we can't make any guarantees. Duke is current on vaccinations and is now ready to go home!
