House hippo, anyone? Mellow, sweet Duke is looking for a new home!
This handsome hunk is laid back and generally quiet. He can be playful too and enjoys sleeping and snuggling with his humans. With visitors to the home, Duke is immediately friendly -- not just "ok" but circle-tail-wag happy. ? I met him today and he was ready to lean on me for scritches right away.
Duke did well with another dog (adult female) who was introduced to his home and with whom he lived for a time. He was very tolerant of this other dog even though she guarded her food from him. But he did get into a scuffle with a neighbor's dog recently (both dogs received scars and both are ok). This incident is why Duke is losing his home -- not by the choice of his owner, who loves him very much. ?
Duke is about 5 years old, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations. This big guy is about 100 lbs and appears to be a pit bull or mastiff mix. He is housetrained, but has not been in a crate in his current home so it's not clear if he would do well in a crate.
