Hi! I’m Duke, a handsome gray/tan and white Akita mix. I’m 3 years old and weigh 70 pounds. I’m neutered, heartworm-negative, and potty and leash trained. I do well with older children who respect my space and get along with other dogs, but I need slow introductions because I’ve been attacked before.
I was adopted as a puppy, but my family let their Boxer beat me up, so they returned me to rescue. Now, I’m looking for a forever home where I’ll be loved and cared for. I’m shy around new people, but I warm up once I get to know them. I’m treat-motivated and have healed from a torn ACL surgery. If you’re looking for a loyal and loving companion, I’m your guy.
