One year old Duffy is truly as engaging in person as he is in this picture! Sleek and shiny with pearly white teeth, athletic and trim at 60 pounds, he’s the perfect buddy for a family that loves the active life. Our trainer who met Duffy remarked that he’d make a great field Lab; you can’t help but take a second look as this handsome pup when he’s steps out at a lively trot!
Duffy, after a rough start in life, is enjoying the comforts of his foster home. His foster mom has him pretty well crate trained and housetrained; he’s learned to sit, is a polite greeter, rides well in the car, has learned his name and walks quite well on the leash with a Halti. He does get pretty excited when he encounters other dogs on leash. While Duffy is an outgoing youngster who likes to be on the go, he’s a very affectionate guy too. And yes, he loves balls!
The perfect home for Duffy will be with active folks who can give him lots of daily exercise. As with any typical young Lab, Duffy also needs your commitment to clear leadership and obedience training; he’s very smart and learns quickly. Duffy would be fine as an only Lab or do well with an active female dog housemate who wouldn’t mind his youthful exuberance.
