My Story

Having existed with humans for eons, Carolina Dogs, also known as Native American Indian Dogs, are valued by their adopters for the strong bond formed with their human(s) as well as their quiet primitive nature. They seldom bark. However, if pressed once in a bonded home, they will alert bark. They thrive with canina sociability, often doing best when there are other dogs in the household. They are great companions for those active in the out of doors. They enjoy toys and play. Once fully comfortably acclimated and secure in a home there is an innate confidence that comes from those eons of independent/dependent coexistence with humans. Just a hint of intrigue. Drax is a young dog, a great representative of his breed. Skittish at first, but will bond in a relative short amount of time. He is active and energetic. We also have his brother Rocket available, they are a great pair, a lot of fun. We need not place them together but a potential adopter may want to consider adopting both. They do well together and will assimilate into an adoptive home in a much more relaxed, confident manner if they are together. These dogs are just over two years old. Watch and listen to the video for recent observations of Drax. House training will need to be re-visited with good structure as Drax is brough into new household.
