Dozer

Dozer is a super friendly, laid back 4-5 year old dog, who just wants to be loved and given lots of attention.  These pictures were taken May 30, 2009.  Dozer has been bounced around a bit. The people who have him now, got him from someone they met at work.  They now have to give him up because there are eight (8) children ranging from 1 1/2 years - 16 in the home and they just cannot afford to keep him.  Dozer is SUPER with the children.  His mom told the volunteer staff that one of the children even pulled on his winky and Dozer didn't do anything.  He rides well in the car and loves to play fetch. He does know some simple commands like sit and down and does great on the leash. Dozer enjoys cuddling and has good manners too as he does ask to be pet.  Cats are no problem for Dozer as he has a couple of cat roomies.

Poor Dozer was only recently neutered.  A few years ago, he was very interested in meeting one of the ladies in his neighborhood when she went into heat.  Dozer climbed or dug out of the fence to get to the lady dogs and her owner shot him in the mouth.  He does have some part of his tongue missing as well as a couple of teeth.  Dozer has been healed up for a very long time now. The vet checked Dozer out thoroughly when he was neutered and she said that he is very healthy and he is not having any problems where he was shot.  Dozer weighed 77 pounds on 6/9/09 and is Heartworm negative.
