My Story

This handsome hunk is such a bundle of fun.! Dozer is still an adolescent and looks set to be quite the headturner. He is full of life and loves everyone - especially if they will play ball with him ! The management of Dozer after the arrival of a new baby in the household has proved problematic for his family so Dozer is seeking a new home. He is a smart dog and a quick learner, however Dozer does need to burn off lots of energy in order to relax properly. He has learned to carry a backpack when out walking so would be a great hiking companion. Cats are still regarded as something to chase but, given time and training Dozer will no doubt learn to tolerate them.Dozer is a very affectionate and happy young dog who relates well to people and gets along well with other dogs. A home with smaller children is not recommended - he is, like his name implies, quite the bulldozer at times ! Once Dozer has matured some he will make a wonderful companion. He loves to snooze and snuggle with you when its TV time and enjoys being a part of al the household happenings. If you have the time, patience and energy to provide the right environment for this wonderful dog do fill out an application and call or e mail us to arrange an appointment to meet him. He's a sweetheart ! If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an adoption application. This avoids the disappointment of someone else has "beating you to it" because they were pre-approved. Processing an application does not take us very long but we do insist that all potential adopters are approved before placing a dog. Applying is very simple. Just log on to our website at Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue and select Adopt a Dog from the menu on the left side of the homepage. Just above the photo gallery you will see Adoption Application giving you a choice of 2 formats. Select one of these and complete the information requested, then save it as a file and e mail it to us. If you do not get a response within 24 hours of sending your application, please call us at 716/326-PAWS. And be sure to check out all the dogs and puppies eagerly awaiting homes.
