My Story

Dozer is one of a pair of local celebrities who was found in Sandoval County. He and his daughter , Kanga, both have front limb deformities that could be congenital or the result of awful treatment. Dozer loves hanging out with his fosters. He's hangs out in the kitchen and outside and would love to get good enough at his wheels to go for walkies! His foster says that he knows how to dog! He likes to play with toys and even gets zoomies out back when other dogs are zooming. He's ok with other dogs, but isn't a huge fan of active small dogs. Dozer can be protective - he's part Chow - but also is very friendly and loves belly rubs. Dozer is starting to learn his front wheels to help him. He understands how to move forward but needs to build strength. He will need to continue physical therapy and possible surgical intervention in the future, but Cross My Paws is committed to his care. Dozer's ideal home would be one story - his foster has a lot of gates up to block the stairs! He prefers to do his outside business on the grass, so grass or turf yard would be great! He likes most other dogs as long as they're nice to him - he is the more protective of the two. If he could go home with his daughter, Kanga ,that might be awesome because they've been through a lot together. And most importantly: someone who will love him forever and is committed to helping him get stronger and more confident walking in his wheels.
