My Story

Doug has found his forever home in Mansfield, MA with Cathy & Louis P. Doug is a 7 month old Lab mix who currently weighs 35 lbs. He was picked up as a stray in rural MS before coming into rescue. Doug transitioned quickly into foster care where his favorite pastimes are playing, napping and dinnertime! He also loves being with people and snuggling. He loves dogs and kids, but will chase a cat that runs, so will probably do best in a cat-free home. He is a quick learner and is doing great on leash, is crate trained and hasn't had any accidents in the house. He understands the word "outside" and will run to the door for a potty break. Doug is such a sweet, precious boy who just wants to be loved and give love. He would love a forever family of his very own. Awesome pup! Adoption Coordinator: Carol Adoption Fee: $500 Please Note: Doug is currently being fostered in MS and is not here to meet yet. If interested, please complete an online application at www.foreverhomerescue.org Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. If you wish to adopt our dogs, please complete an online APPLICATION. You must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old.
