Dorothy

ADOPTION PENDING! - Dorothy is a 11 week old Basset/Beagle/Husky mix baby. Her mother was a basset/beagle, and from what we can tell, Dad was a Husky. Dorothy's dog mom died when Dorothy was only 2 days old. Dorothy has been bottle fed as a human baby since. Due to that she is very affectionate and close with people and she has developed into a wonderful little girl. Dorothy is learning "sit" and also is already wee wee pad trained and working on going outside and leash training. She loves to play with other dogs and she is also good with cats, however, sometimes she forgets cats aren't as durable as dogs, and while she doesn't mean to, she can play a little too roughly with them, but means them no harm. For a cat that is used to dogs and likes to play with a dog, she'd be ideal. We are looking for a home for Dorothy that is home more so than not as that is what Dorothy is used to at this time in her foster home. She has never been crated and only chews on her puppy toys and is learning at a very rapid pace. Dorothy is VERY smart!! Dorothy also likes to cuddle with her humans while she sleeps. Dorothy will be spayed prior to her adoption, and she is up to date on shots and deworming at this time. We are taking applications at this time, so when Dorothy is 8 weeks in age she can be adopted. Please note this is a courtesy post for some folks in Indiana that we work with frequently. All dogs will be vetted fully prior to adoption including: Spay/Neuter, heartworm check, rabies shot, dhlpp vaccination, deworming, bordatella, and frontline.. We are simply trying to help find homes for a few dogs that otherwise wouldn't have a chance where they are located. All dogs will be temperament tested for children, cats and other dogs. Transport can be arranged to Illinois/Wisconsin areas.
