My Story

DOOBIE Our faithful followers know that it's not often we can boast about a rare trait one of our Dober-orphans has. We are proud to introduce DOOBIE ... The Smiling Doberman. Doobie has built quite a following as many visitors stop by to see his amazing, one of a kind smile! Doobie arrived in our Program as the result of former owners who abandoned him. Yes, you heard us right. They actually moved and left him behind and outside by himself. Finally the neighbors called for help and Doobie was safely delivered to our care. Doobie has the biggest toothy smile, and if you correct him it gets even bigger! He doesn't need to be corrected very often because he is a little on the shy side, but extremely affectionate. Doobie believes his smile will charm you into whatever he wants and we can't disagree. He is crate trained and really loves his crate. He has been great with the other dogs he has met and it was reported that he lived with cats in his previous home but we aren't sure because they weren't left behind like our poor Doobie was. Doobie has a bit of a stagger in his walk which we suspect could be early indications of Wobblers, but right now he gets around just fine and continues to amaze us with his pearly whites and happy attitude.
