Donovan truly puts the "special" in special needs. This happy-go-lucky pup. was born with spina bifida which means a portion of his spinal cord is damaged leaving him without the use of his back legs. This disability doesn't slow Donovan down one bit. He hops like a little kangaroo all around the back yard in his foster home, "chasing" his foster doggy brothers and sisters. Donovan has a doggy "wheelchair" and once he is in his chair nothing slows him down. He loves to play fetch and tug-o-war. He is a very social pup. Truth be told, Donovan has never met anyone or anything that he doesn't immediately love! As a result of Donovan's disability, he is incontinent. But, a doggy diaper goes a long way towards managing messes. Donovan is up-to-date on his vaccinations.
