Howdy folks! My name is Don and I'm here to show you that a disability doesn't define me-it's just a part of what makes me unique! I'm an adult male Australian Shepherd mix with a heart as big as my enthusiasm for life. Despite having a disabled rear leg, I'm a spirited fella who doesn't let anything slow me down. You'll often find me splashing around and having a blast in the water-I absolutely adore it! I'm also a social butterfly who gets along famously with other dogs and even those mysterious creatures called cats. My easy-going nature and friendly demeanor make me a great companion for anyone looking to add a furry friend to their family. Our adoption process is usually quick, but may take up to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require that the dogs be present at the meeting to make sure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalize the adoption. If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for 6 months and we will gladly consider your family for another dog.
