Dolly

Meet Dolly, an adorable and affectionate girl who is full of love and energy. Dolly is a protective and brave mama, as she unexpectedly gave birth to nine babies the day before she was set to be euthanized at the local high-kill shelter. Sadly, all but three of her puppies passed away while out the shelter, but she has done an amazing job raising her surviving puppies (Daisy, Dixie, and Duke the Bandit) in the safety of the rescue. Dolly would love nothing more than to move into a "postpartum foster home" or a forever home in now that her puppies are weaned and adopted. Dolly loves to explore and is always curious about her surroundings. Dolly is great with other dogs, cats, children and even farm animals. She is friendly and playful. Dolly is an intelligent and quick learner, always ready to show off for her people. Dolly is smart and in a short period of time learned sit, stay, place, shake. She is a loyal companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin. Dolly is looking for a loving home where she can be the center of attention and receive the care and affection she deserves, especially after raising her puppies and being such a devoted mama to them. She would be the perfect fit for a family or individual who can provide her with lots of love, attention, and adventures. Dolly is about two years old, spayed, and up to date on her vaccines and preventative. We know Dolly will make a wonderful addition to the right family and are excited to see her find her forever home. Due to her size and excitable nature, we are requesting homes with children over the age of 5 for Dolly.
