Dixon

Dixon is a handsome 21 months old long-haired German Shepard. He is a Katrina rescue. He was adopted out, but unfortunately, due to a divorce, Dixon needs to go to a new home.

Dixon is a lovable teddy bear and requires daily attention, he likes to have his belly rubbed and to be brushed. If possible, he will climb into your lap. Dixon loves all people and other dogs, but like most Shepherds, he is not good with cats.

Dixon loves to be outside during the day and but he comes inside in the evening to be with the family. He likes treats like greenies, pig ears and bones, however, whenever he eats a treat he want to eat it outside in the yard.

Dixon is very smart. He knows a lot of commands: Kennel, Sit, Lay down, Roll over, Shake, Stay, Wait and Leave it!

We are trying to place Dixon with his brother Jake, who is 1-year-old German Shepherd. We will consider placing them separately, but It would be great if we could keep the two together.
