Dixie-Adopted

Dixie is the sweetest girl in the world. Dixie was adopted as a young pup from the shelter in San Diego seven years ago. Recently her owner took Dixie and Dixie’s two shepherd brothers back to the same shelter and dumped them all off without a thought or care about what might happen to them. The shelter workers had nothing but good things to say about Dixie – she is a happy go lucky gal who took her bad luck on the chin and carried on holding her head high knowing she had done nothing to deserve being dumped so unceremoniously. Dixie is 7-8 years old and our best guess is that she is a Boston Terrier/Corgi mix. She weighs 40 lbs – but she could stand to lose about 5 of those pounds! Her fur is a bit longer than a Boston’s short coat, especially around her neck and shoulders and her nose is a bit longer than most Bostons. Dixie is dog friendly, but would prefer to live in a cat free home. Dixie is a mellow girl who will be your snuggle buddy. Dixie has wonderful doggie manners and is housebroken. Dixie has been examined by our vet and is a healthy girl. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, micro chipped and ready to go to a home with someone who will never abandon her again.
