My Story

Hi, my name is Dixie. I am about one year old in. Boy am I big and beautiful! I am good with all people, other dogs (though sometimes I want to be the dominate one) and cats. I love playing with my foster sister, Frosty. We play off and on for a couple hours in the morning, then sleep all day. My foster mom says she wishes she could sleep as soundly as we do. I am very calm and quiet in the house, providing I get my morning exercise. You will hardly even know I'm there unless you call me.

I had a rough start in life, lack of food, but I am catching up now and will grow to be a pretty big girl You know us big dogs are usually quieter in the house than the small fries are. I hear my foster mom say that all the time. I like to be near my foster family when I'm awake or sleeping. I am a herding dog, so I like my flock close.

I am housetrained, and I walk pretty well on a leash. I even do well in the car.

If you're looking for a big bundle of love to add as a permanent member to your family, someone that will be devoted to you and love you forever, come and meet me. See you soon!

All HART dogs are up to date on their vaccines, including bordatella. They're spayed/neutered, microchipped and on prevention for heartworm and fleas/ticks. Please apply online at www.rescueAhart.org .
