Three year old Dillon is a very handsome, well proportioned Lab with a big blocky head and a nose as black as a licorice button. He's a tad thin at 72 pounds and would be delighted to demonstrate how nicely he takes treats as he puts on a few pounds. Dillon found himself abandoned in a shelter; no one cared enough to come for this wonderful Lab. Leaning against his kennel gate with hopeful eyes, he relished getting little pets and treats from our volunteer and hearing he was on his way to a better life.
Dillon is just starting to fill us in about himself, but we can tell you he's a happy friendly guy and is eager to meet and play with other dogs. He knows sit and needs a bit of work on his leash manners. On his trip to the vet for his check up, he made himself a nice nest out of the blankets in the back of the car and then settled in for a quiet ride. "It was so good to be out of the shelter!" woofed this endearing guy.
