All Planned Pethood dogs and puppies are altered (spayed/neutered) and fully vetted prior to adoption. Dog breed is a best guess by the vet and/or Petfinder breed expert findings. We cannot guarantee breed, weight, age of dogs or final adult size of puppies.

Diesel is an Anatolian Shepard/Great Dane mix, all 140 pounds. Diesel requires; 6.5 cups of food daily, a fenced in yard (standard-no electric fence), plenty of exercise, and obedience training. Diesel has been through his basic training and has done quite well but will need to refresh those guidelines with his new owner. This refresher is to reinforce who the leader is and to continue socialization with people as well as other dogs. Diesel does well with controlled introductions to people and other dogs. Diesel resides with his foster dog brothers, dog sister, cat, and bird and does well with all of them. Diesel enjoys playing ball in the backyard, so this in an easy way to provide exercise. Diesel is possessive with respect to family and property, and gives warning barks on the approach of intruders. He has very strong protective instincts. Please familiarize yourself with the Anatolian breed as they are very unique. He loves affection and his nylon bones but is an independent thinker who does not respond to an owners every whim. Diesel does not do well with repeated and harsh reprimands so positive reinforcement as well as shorter training sessions work well. Diesel also does well with older, considerate children. Diesel does not come to the adoption events, but arrangements can be easily made to meet this goofy lug. If interested please fill out an application. Special Notes: Diesel is on a trial adoption.
