Diego is approximately 5 years old in these pictures taken February 13, 2010. He and his brother, Bruce, a Pekingnees, were given up by their owner because she could no longer afford to keep them. They are very close and even sleep together in the same doggie bed. It would be wonderful if they could find a home together. But we think with a lot of love, they would get over being separated.
Diego is a funny little guy who comes running up to you barking for attention. Our director has found that he really enjoys being a lap dog and is full of personality. Diego is housebroken too and gets along with all of the dogs he has come in contact with.
This is what his former owner says about Diego:
Diego was my father's dog. He will alert you to anyone outside your home. Diego loves to be with his master but doesn't like being held a lot. He loves to go for car rides. Because he is afraid of young children and a lot going on, it would be best if he went to a home with an older person. He is a one master dog.
Diego went into the vet on February 17, 2010 to get his Rabies, be neutered, and be tested for Heartworms, Lyme, and Ehrlichia. He was negative and is on HW preventative.
