My Story

Diamond is a true gem who's overcome so much to embrace a new lease on life. At around 40lbs, this little pittie mix was discarded at 10 years old after years of being used to breed litter after litter, without any vet care. Shortly after arriving at our rescue, Diamond suffered a stroke and was barely clinging to life when we reached the emergency vet. Miraculously, she pulled through! Now fully vetted, spayed, up to date on immunizations, and microchipped, Diamond is making the most of her second chance at life. With the heart of a puppy, she's an exuberant, loving companion who adores rolling in the grass, splashing in the pool, looking chic wearing goggles (check out her 2nd photo), savoring ice cream, playing fetch, and snuggling up for belly rubs. She's a "velcro dog," thriving on close human connection and affection. She is house-trained, intelligent, treat-motivated, and friendly. Though she doesn't quite know how to calm herself down so she looks to her handlers for direction. Diamond can get super excited and vocal around other dogs, so if homed with one, it should be a dog who will tolerate her persistence and lack of understanding social cues. However, she might be happiest as an only dog! She would benefit from an owner committed to giving her the structure, leadership, and patience she deserves. Despite her past, Diamond is a shining example of resilience and devotion towards humans. She deserves a nurturing home where she can truly thrive. Her adoption fee is $205.
