COURTESY POSTING Dogs Deserve Better Northern Virginia Reps have identified two dogs that we would like to save. However, we have no place for either one of them to go. The first dog is Diamond - he is a pit mix between 8-10 years old. He is super sweet and just wants love. He sat for his treat and took it gently. While we know he is great with people, we do not know how he will do with other dogs, so we are assuming that there will be issues. We have gotten him neutered and vaccinated. He was heartworm NEGATIVE. He tested positive for Lymes and is receiving treatment. Unfortunately, both Tippy and Diamond continue to live outside and isolated until a foster home or adopter is found.
We will continue to market both of them and can pay for any medical costs, including Tippy's heartworm treatment. We would need an experienced dog handler or someone who can provide a kennel-type environment for a few weeks so we could get input on interactions with people and other dogs.
