My Story

My name given to me by my foster mom is "Desdemona", but PLEASE, PLEASE, call me Dez or Dezzy. She says it is from the Shakespeare tragedy, Othello. Seems she met with an unfortunate end, but that will not be my fate. I am a female Catahoula born 12/1/08. I am current on shots and heartworm prevention and have been spayed. I myself was picked up as a "stray" by animal control and was lucky enough to enter the CAAWS program and go into a foster home. I am a very playful young gal who is good with dogs, cats and children. I walk well on a leash and love to snuggle and sit in my foster mom’s lap. I’m currently 21.5 lbs., but should quadruple in size by the time I reach adulthood, so foster mom says I might not be able to sit in her lap too much longer. I beg to differ. I am also very smart in that I have already learned the "sit" and "down" commands and my potty training is going rather well. With all these good traits, one might forget that I am a puppy who is on a mission to "chew and destroy" if not watched, or left unattended. So, if you don’t do your job, don’t blame the pup.
