What a handsome boy! Dexter was rescued from an Animal Control facility in Nebraska, where he was picked up as a stray. He weighs about 66# and could afford to put on a few pounds. He is a purebred Labrador Retriever by the looks of him—he is gorgeous!
Dexter is a typical Lab. He is intelligent, loyal, happy, energetic and LOVES water. His enthusiasm for life is contagious! His favorite toy is a pink/white soccer ball that he carries around non-stop! What a goof!
We were told he is house trained and he is crate trained. He loves to run and would like a fair amount of exercise. Are you an active person who’d like a jogging partner or a hiking partner or a swimming partner? Dexter is up to the challenge!
He is good with other dogs and cats. He hasn’t been around children while in our care.

This dog's adoption fee is $265 (plus tax). This includes being spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
