Dexter is such a cute little mini doxie! He loves pets and scratches on his neck and back and will roll over to show how happy he is! He also loves to curl up next to you on the couch or burrow under some blankets for a nap. He is pretty confident in himself and will let you know he’s the boss! He gets along with other dogs and cats, but if they bother him too much, he’s not afraid to give them some attitude, so he might do better with another older pet companion or on his own. Dexter LOVES food (how can you resist the adorable begging?) but he has a sensitive stomach and has a specific diet that has kept his tummy happy over the years. In the short time he’s been in his foster home, he has gotten adjusted to their routine, which shows how fast a learner he is! Things Dexter likes are: soft beds and blankets, pets from his humans Dexter's absolute favorite things are: Treats These are things Dexter doesn't like: Being picked up a lot, being bothered too much by other pets. If Dexter could pick their dream home, it would include: Lots of places to nap, treats and a yard to explore! Dexter is a Miniature Dachshund who was born approximately 5-4-14. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
