Desi

Update: Desi had 27 rotten and infected teeth. He came out of surgery with 3 teeth. He will feel sooo much better now! During his vet exam, it was discovered that Desi has a luxating patella (knee pops out of place). He will have knee surgery on 7/20/08. We see luxating patella's on many of the breeding dogs being surrendered to us. Luxating patella's can be genetic and breeders and breeding these dogs---please do not buy puppies from pet stores and puppy mills!

Desi is a beautiful red pom. He was rescued from a puppy mill. Desi is quite friendly and loves other dogs. He is learing cratetraining and housetraining. His new family will need to continue with his training.

Desi is neutered, utd shots, dewormed, heartworm tested. Our adoption donation for adult dogs is $200. We require an adoption application, references, adoption contract and home visit. We only adopt to families in SD, MN, NE, ND, IA.

If you are out of state, it does take time to process your application and find a home visitor from another rescue to do your visit. Please be SERIOUS about adopting a dog from our rescue before submitting an application.

The application is the first step. After we receive and approve a completed application, we will schedule a home visit.

Almost Home is run from foster homes. We have no facility for the public to come in and view pets.

We do not ship our dogs.
