My Story

Denny was part of our 'restaurant crew' litter. All his siblings have since been adopted and are living their best lives but Denny's journey wasn't as easy. He had a lot of fear-based anxiety to overcome and has made a complete 180 working with one of our trusted trainers! To set Denny up for success, his ideal foster/adopter would: *Have no other pets. Denny would thrive solo but could do OK with another dog around his same size that could match his energy. *no small children. 13+ would be OK. *house with a yard or someone who is very active and enjoys hiking, trail running, camping, etc. *an experienced dog handler that could commit to reinforcing what he's learned in training to continue to foster a stable environment for continued growth/success. PSA: Don't like words like "training" deter you. We will always be transparent about our dogs but we recognize you may read this and think "project dog" or "Behavioral dog" but the reality is SO many rescue dogs have had to undergo training to recover the trauma they endured. Training is an essential tool that all dogs benefit from, regardless of where they came from or their backstory. If anything it should be looked at as a positive thing that Denny is already doing the work. Rescue is all about second chances...let's give Denny a shot at his!
