Dasher

Meet Dasher! Dasher is an adorable, playful young male foxhound looking for his forever home. At only about 2 years old, he's practically still a puppy! Dasher has an especially sweet face and incredibly loving, gentle eyes. He is playful and funny, often throwing around his toys or rough-housing with the other foxhounds. He is a high energy dog who loves to run and play outside, especially with his doggy friends. When he's not playing, he just wants to be snuggled. He can become incredibly calm and quiet when he's receiving attention and you can tell he is truly in heaven. He loves a good ear/head rub and belly rub. Dasher is typically pretty confident and outgoing. He is one of the larger foxhounds and is fairly strong on a leash. He would love an active home/family, ideally with a fenced-in yard. We don't know much about his past, but we believe that he has not had any training. He is not house broken and is still learning basic commands, leash etiquette, etc. and therefore would greatly benefit from a sort of 'Basics 101' training plan. Dasher does also jump when he gets excited and can become shy/startled in new environments. Because he can be a little jumpy and excited at times, a home with children 5+ would probably be best. He is good with other dogs, but definitely plays a bit rough and has puppy-like energy that the other dog(s) would have to be okay with. A meet-and-greet is required. We're unsure about cats or other small animals. He is about 2 years old, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines.
