Darla will be shy and a bit timid at first, but after about 3 days, her charming, fun personality will
emerge. She’s the perfect mix of chill and playful. Her German Shepherd line means she’s going to
bond with you and her family. She’ll be right there wherever you go in the house.
Darla knows some basic commands like sit, shake, sit up, and is pretty good about staying (we’re still
working on that one). She is spayed, HW negative and current on required vaccinations and is on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. She really
wants to play with the resident dogs, but they are older and not receptive to her. She’s never shown any aggression toward them. She’s curious about the resident cat, but the cat
has successfully avoided her, so not sure of her actual face to face reaction. Darla will be a great
family dog for those with kids 8 and up. Someone who works from home will be ideal for her.
Darla is house-trained, rides well in a car, and will sleep in a crate all night, if the crate is in your
bedroom though she is not really a fan of it. She’ll also sleep just fine on a dog bed in your room,
and not make a peep. Currently she has been left loose in the house for up to 5 hours without any
problems. She loves squeaky toys, though they won’t last long! She also needs tough chew toys.
