Meet Darla! Darla came from a very challenging situation that has left her a bit shy and fearful, which is understandable. Even though her past is not good, her future is bright! She has a big heart and is slowly learning that it's okay to give and receive love. Her forever home must be with a family who has time and patience to continue to bring out this beautiful girl's loving personality. She's about 9-months-old and weighs just over 25 pounds, Darla must have another dog in her forever home. Other dogs give her confidence and help her understand how to be a wonderful family member. She hasn't met cats yet and young children may scare her. Older, dog-savvy kids might be okay, they would just have to meet. Darla is still learning to live in a home, so she still has occasional potty accidents inside, but she's working on it. She's comfortable in her kennel but the leash is still a very scary thing, so she'll need a home with a privacy-fenced yard.
