Darby is 3 year old purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She is sweet and affectionate, loves to snuggle and get belly rubs from her foster mom, and watch TV on the couch w/ her foster dad. Playful but calm in the house and settles down nicely. ~~ She is somewhat timid at first w/ strangers. Gets along great w/ other dogs and ignores cats. ~~ House trained, knows sit and down, walks very nicely on a leash. ~~ Her former owners gave Darby up to rescue b/c she will sometimes get nervous and excited and bark and nip at heels of people in motion, especially little kids. What a surprise, she is a herding breed dog, for goodness sake!! ~~ Besides needing to go on a diet :-) Darby is very healthy. ** She is being fostered near Fort Wayne, IN. ~~ NOTE: We are looking for a nice quiet home, without the chaos of small children. ~~ NOTE: We require a securely fenced yard for all dog adoptions (never those shock collar "invisible fencing systems.")
