These are Leila's puppies. Leila came to us from another rescue in Laredo. She was pregnant and soon after we got her she gave birth to 11 beautiful puppies.
Raising these pups is not an easy task. They require a lot of time, care and supervision. They are now old enough and ready to be placed in new loving homes.
These pups will be adopted as indoor pets only and to families that know about Great Danes and how to be responsible pet owners.
Adoption fee is $350. Adoption includes a series of 3 DHLPP vaccinations, 2 deworming, Rabies, microchip and a spay.
Now for the serious part. Great Danes are special dogs. They need a lot of humane interaction. They must be indoor pets, because they do not tolerate hot or cold weather. Training is a must. They are easy to train, but you must be consistent. Due to their size and fast growth, there are a lot of special feeding requirements. They have short coat, but they do shed. Their tail is like a whip and can clear a table. They will take over your couch.
Before you apply, please do your research on the breed and make sure it's the right breed for you. Make sure you can and will make a life time commitment to provide the dog with all its needs, including quality food, raised feeding bowls, soft bed, vet care, HW preventatives and lots of love. Make sure you have the place, the time and the money to provide all that the dog needs.
If you think that you can provide a stable home for one of these pups, please fill out the adoption application on our website: www.pawsofaustin.org
