My Story

4-13-09 Daisy, the sweet thing, has found her forever home! Hooray!

2/21/09: Daisy is a shy and very adorable girl. She is coming along very nicely in her foster home. She lives with 2 other small dogs and a cat. She is also learning to walk on leash. Her foster mom says "she has definitely made herself at home :) She loves treats and rawhide chews. She has not had an accident in the house since the first day. We are shocked that she cries when she needs to go out, and does great in her crate. She really is a perfect dog." Daisy weighs 20 lbs and is a perfect size and temperament for someone looking for a smaller canine companion.

Daisy and two other dogs had been wandering in a neighborhood down south for several months. Apparently a bigger dog chased Daisy into a woman's garage where she was finally able to be caught in January. She has responded well to people showing her that humans can be trusted again. Please think about taking Daisy into your patient and loving family.

If you can't foster or adopt right now, please consider making a donation to Daisy's care by clicking on the "donate" button below.

*all our dogs are in partner shelters in the south unless marked "In Maine" or "In New England". **
